In this new series I’m using the same digital information used to make the landscapes seen in the machine drawings to create unique sculptural objects out of light and paper. These light emitting objects allow my Dystopian Ornament aesthetic to be seen as dimensional objects that integrate into the architecture around them. Each one is unique, constructed by hand out of laser cut materials and an LED light. The result is a translucent landscape hanging in space projecting light and shadows into the environment around it.
